Please allow plenty of time for your journey to Birmingham Moor St to avoid missing your train Last remaining tickets for this Christmas Season - don't miss out! Steam to York Christmas Market on 21st December with Vintage Trains

Do you believe? We do at Vintage Trains and that is why we are proud to be hosting an exciting and captivating experience like no other. THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is returning to central Birmingham this Winter. The magic and charm of the 2004 motion picture, THE POLAR EXPRESS™, will be theatrically re-created so that you and your family can immerse yourselves in the sights, sounds and intrigue of this classic children’s tale.

Prepare to be surrounded by the enchantment and wonder of the Christmas season!

As you and your guests arrive at Birmingham Moor Street station, you can almost hear the faint sound of sleigh bells in the distance and the fun begins.

Out of the cold night, to much excitement, the steam train - THE POLAR EXPRESS™ - arrives. The Conductor will invite you to climb aboard shouting “All aboooooard!” Anticipation builds as you step onto the train, escorted to your seat by the dancing Chefs.

Before long, scenes from the movie come to life and the wide-eyed children are invited to join in.

You will be totally engrossed in the story of The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg as you enjoy delicious hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies. Chefs show pages from the beautifully illustrated book for the whole carriage to follow and families who bring their own copies can read along too.

As your adventure continues you notice other key elements of the story springing to life. Watch and listen as another scene unfolds before your eyes.

Keep your ears open for the sounds of Santa, his reindeer and sleigh. As the train slows to a stop, Santa boards the train!

Then as the train departs for the return journey home, you realise that the adventure is not over. Santa appears in your midst to present guests with their very own “First Gift of Christmas”, a silver bell from his sleigh. Reflecting on the story, we would remind you to check your pockets for holes!

Chefs on board lead the passengers in singing favourite Christmas Carols as the train heads back to Moor Street station. After the on-train performance, lasting approximately one hour, passengers leave the train; but the magic and fun continues as the children have a chance to meet the characters and have photographs taken in front of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ steam train ride.

We encourage our guests, young and old to wear pyjamas just as the children did in the film. The children will love it but maybe you can persuade family and friends to join in too, the atmosphere in the train comes alive for a truly magical experience!

“Well, ya comin’?”
